Wishlist Wednesday

This morning, something amazing happened :) I was scrolling through the Netgalley Teen &YA catalog, randomly looking for some new books to get excited for when suddenly... I skimmed the title of this book and realized - this was not Confessions of an Angry Girl! It's a sequel! Yay! Up until now, I didn't even realize there'd be more books about Rose. Ha, this makes me so happy! If you have not read the first book, you really should. It's a really nice, entertaining read that I wasn't able to put down.

Rose Zarelli has big plans for sophomore year—everything is going to be different. This year, she’s going to be the talented singer with the killer voice, the fabulous girl with the fashionista best friend, the brainiac who refuses to let Jamie Forta jerk her around...
...but if she’s not careful, she’s also going to be the sister who misses the signals, the daughter who can only think about her own pain, the “good girl” who finds herself in mid-scandal again (because no good deed goes unpunished) and possibly worst of all...the almost-girlfriend.
When all else fails, stop looking for love and go find yourself.

    1. Thanks so much for your comment and follow :) I guess I know what you mean (though I don't know, either, if angsty is a word). The first book was very well done, though. I liked the mix of a witty outlook on highschool drama and the serious message behind it.

  4. Hmmm, I believe I heard of this before. I haven't read Confessions of an Angry Girl before, but I got it on Netgalley. It seems good, but I don't know. Maybe I'll pick it up.

    1. If you like contemporary, you should! I didn't really think I'd like it or that it would be special somehow, but I ended up really enjoying the story!

    1. You're welcome! I, at least, liked the first book quite a lot. I just hope number two is just as good :)

  6. I've never heard of this book (or the first), but I like the sound of it! Lately, I've been enjoying books about "real" girls figuring out their lives (no secret powers, no dystopian worlds..). I'll have to check out #1 -- thanks for the recommendation!

    1. Hehe, I like that "no secret powers, no dystopian worlds"! That's why I turn to contemporary at times. I'm not always up for it, but there are moments when I just need a story that relates to my own life rather than one that distracts me from it :)

    1. It was great, wasn't it? And I personally didn't even expect it to be that good. It was more like a "blahh...maybe" read for me. However, when I actually started it, it went by like nothing :)
