Top Ten Tuesday

This week? The Top Ten Books I'd throw in my beach bag :)

1. Deadly Cool
I could go on and on about how much I enjoyed this book and the sequel Social Suicide. With its snarky tone and the quirky characters it makes for a fun, light beach read you wouldn't want to miss!

2. The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks
Such a heart-breaking novel. And I loved the movie! Honestly. Loved, loved, loved it!

3. The Lying Game
Very great series, perfect to read in between moments of lazy dozing off. It's creepy, but also fun and light and girly!

4.  Airhead by Meg Cabot
This is just funny and weird and full of pop - culture elements and - perfect for the summer!

5. The Summer I Turned Pretty
In my opinion, this is a book you can read only during the summertime. It'd bore me to death if I tried to read it in one sitting on a cold winter day, but it's great to just enjoy it chapter by chapter during a very lazy week!

6. Rosebush by Michele Jaffe
Not only that I love the book in general but I'd also recommend it for everyone who - like me - still wants to be entertained by a summer book. I hate when there's nothing but cheesy, perfect romantic relationships combined with a ton of sunsets :)

7. The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks
Another Nicholas Sparks novel that I liked - I don't like all of his books, so that means something! This story is just so beautiful and I think the drama at the end turned out just right and not as cheesy as in some other novels of his.

8. The Summer of No Regrets by Katherine Grace Bond
It is a summer book that has some things to think about, so I wouldn't take it to the beach with me if I actually planned on doing anything other than reading and thinking philosophical thoughts.

9. The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson
This one is heartbreaking but also heartwarming and sad and happy and funny. You take a bunch of emotions to the pool or beach if you grab this one on your way out !

10. Just about any type of magazine you can think of!
Seriously? I believe magazines and sunbathing just belong together!

  8. I watch The Lying Game on ABC Family. Have you watched it before? I've been curious to find out if it's similar to the books. And The Lucky one was really good too. Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

    1. I've watched the show for a while but couldn't really get into it. I liked the books more, but then again I read the books before I started watching the show...
