Summer Lovin' Read-A-Thon...Better Late than Never!

Day One - Class Orientation

Oh, hello, guys! First of all, I'm late. And then, I'm also Laura, eighteen years old, living in Germany, reading in English, Thinking in Sarcasm and Blogging/Speaking in code most of the time.
As of right now, I find myself in that weird summer between Highschool (the German version) and University where I do a lot of firsts and a lot of lasts, but most of all I am lazy all day and drive my mom insane.

As you can tell from my blog, I love YA and read almost anything but. Lately, though, I am setting my radar away from your average contemporary and on to new horizones :D

Oh, and I talk to much. And just for the record: I am always late.

And these are the books I want to read this week:

The Year of the Great Seventh
Ashes (Ashes Trilogy #1)Shadows (Ashes Trilogy, #2)
Ink (Paper Gods, #1)Confessions of an Almost-Girlfriend (Confessions, #2)

Day Two - You're the One that I Want

Bookish Ingredients for Your Perfect Summer

A fun, fluffy and funny series. You know it's perfect when you manage to finish one installment in a day easily.

I'd suggest The Pretty Little Liars or The Lying Game Series by Sara Shepard if you're up to some mystery.

The Confessions Series by Louise Rozett if you're up to some teenage drama.

My Choice this year:

The Heist Society Series by Ally Carter

A Huge, Epic Series that will stay in your head all the way until next summer

The Harry Potter Series by JK Rowling

The Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare

My Choice this Year:

The Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead

That one Trilogy You Have Been Wanting to Pick Up Forever:

The Under the Never Sky Trilogy by Veronika Rossi

The Delirium Trilogy by Lauren Oliver

My Choice this Year:

The Hourglass Trilogy by Myra McEntire
The Ashes Trilogy by Ilsa J. Bick

  1. I am late a lot too. Glad you joined. I don't think I've heard any of the books you've picked to read this week, but they look intriguing. I just finished Along for the Ride and it was butterflies and amazing. haha...I liked it. Happy reading and hope you meet your goals!

  2. I've been seeing Ink everywhere and really want to read it. I tried to get the first Heist Society book at the library this week, but of course my local branch is missing that one, lol. Hope you have lots of fun during the read-a-thon! :)

    1. Thanks! You, have fun, too! I just went ahead and bought all three books (that are out as of right now) and then...they collected LOTS of dust on my shelves :) And as I don't think I'm going to have much time for the series once the summer is over, I better get to it now :D

    1. Ashes is uh-mazing! I mean, pretty disguisting, too, but great! I've heard a lot of people say they didn't like Shadows as much...I haven't gotten to it yet, but I hope it's not that bad. And then, there's always the third book to make up for it when it comes out :D

    1. Great choices! I personally love all three, although Cassandra Clare's books only really grew on me with the fourth and fifth installment. Can't wait for the ending of that series!
