Q: School is out! What is your favorite Summer Reading book??
The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants! I've been reading one of those books every summer for the past few years, but I'm still not quite through with the series. Which might be why with each book that I start, I always feel like I've forgotten everything that happened. Maybe I'll just reread the installments I have read until now and then finish the series for good this year? Mhm...maybe, maybe... :)
Also, I read The Summer I Turned Pretty last year and am actually eager to read the rest of that trilogy thiss year...Have you guys read any of those books?

At least, they are what I think of first when someone mentions summer reading books :) Thanks so much for following!
DeleteHopping through. I love Sisterhood! I read Summer I Turned Pretty last year. I liked it but not as much as most people seem to.

Nah, I wasn't obsesed with The Summer I turned Pretty, either. Didn't like Belly all that much. Anyway, I'm curious how the series continues and for summer, they are a nice, mostly light read :)
DeleteI don't think I've read the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants books... I've seen the movie, though :P. I want to read The Summer I Turned Pretty, it seems really fun! :)

oh, the movie was really nice, too! I didn't even think I'd like it as much, but I found it was very well done :) Also - great choice of actresses for the four "sisters". The Summer I Turned Pretty is good for well, summer, I guess. I wasn't overly obsessed with it, but I do like it :D Thanks for following!
DeleteI loved the movie : The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants! Haven't read the book, though. I remember my summer favourites way back when were Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys! :)

The movie was great - way better than I expected! And I have actually never read US children's books as I wasn't able to read in English when I was a child :) I have been thinking of simply reading kid's books for a month just to see how they differ from the ones we have here in Germany :D
DeleteNever read that one but heard lots about it! It's fun to have that particular go to summer read! It was Harry Potter for me for those 7 books, but since it ended it's just been whatever's in the TBR mountain or whatever hot release is about to come out that I need straight away!

I read HP a lot, too! I guess I just didn't think of it, because from 5th to 8th grade there weren't many books I read besides HP year-round :) Thanks for commenting!

DeleteI'm following! I've never read those books but I know people really like them. I plan on reading a few light books while on the beach once school lets out.
