Running Into August

First of all: This week is so messed up. The whole month was! My problem definitely is time management. I spend hours reading other people's blog posts. Then I spend hours writing the ones that have to be posted right that day and THEN I need to squeeze some reviews in on my blog that I wrote in May. Yup, May. It's just all so weird. But then again, life would be so boring without the stress :)
So, here we go with my July Wrap-Up and August TBR.

Shadow and Bone (The Grisha Trilogy, #1)Shadowland (The Mediator, #1)Pushing the LimitsThat Summer
Glitch (Glitch, #1)WintergirlsSomeone Like YouThe Eyes of the Desert Sand (Chrysalis Chronicles #1)A Midsummer's Nightmare

Overall I think July was a good reading month for me. I started with Shadow and Bone which was plain amazing - very different from your usual YA. Then I finished Shadowland which I started in June and if you want a fun, entertaining book with a serious kick-ass heroine, you should try this series. Very funny! Next up is Pushing The Limits. It took me quite some time to get into that one - but even more time to move on after I finished it.
That Summer was a bit of a disappointment for me. It wasn't a bad book but for a Sarah Dessen novel it's pretty flat and boring - the complete opposite of Someone Like You which I loved with a passion!
Wintergirls was the next book I read and although I practically read it in one sitting I wasn't into it as much as I thought I would be. I have heard many good things about Laurie Halse Anderson, though and will definitely read another book by her.
Glitch was a book I liked and would recommend to everyone. It won't throw you off your seat like other dystopians (Divergent, The Hunger Games) and I understand that there's not that much hype about it, but the story is good and enjoyable.
The Eyes Of The Desert Sand totally surprised me. I came to like it quite a lot!
I have to recommend A Midsummer's Nightmare to everyone, as well - it rounded up my July in the best way possible!
All in all I wish I had read a few more books this month just because I could have. School starts in less than three weeks for me and I really try to get some reading done until then:

Xor: The Shape of DarknessTwenty Boy SummerThrall (Daughters Of Lilith, #1)52 Reasons to Hate My FatherWhispers in Autumn (The Last Year, #1)Ten Things We Did (and Probably Shouldn't Have)Ruby (Ruby, #1)Dearly, Departed (Gone With the Respiration, #1)
Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1)

    1. A Midsummer's Nightmare is great - but you should hurry up and read it before summer ends! It's best combined with a lot of sun and iced tea :)
